WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Senate Finance Committee put together a bipartisan pact, which if passed, would extend a slew of expiring or expired targeted tax breaks, commonly known as “tax extenders,” including the transit commuter benefits and the alternative fuels tax credit, according to The Hill.

The proposed package, which would extend the transit commuter benefit to $240 per month and continue the alternative fuel tax credit, as well as a vehicle refueling property tax credit, would go into effect, retroactively, Jan. 1, 2012. For the full story, click here.
