WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — In November, Alameda County voters will decide whether to double their sales tax for transportation, Contra Costa Times reported.

Passage of Measure B1 by a two-thirds majority would make Alameda the first county in Northern California to increase its transportation sales tax to 1 cent. The current rate is a half-cent. The tax would also be made permanent. For the full story, click here.
