DETROIT — Local 4 reported the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) may soon put more police officers on city buses. The move is a response to bus drivers demanding more security, particularly after a passenger threw a bucket of bleach on a driver.
DDOT union president Fred Westbrook told Local 4 the drivers are awaiting a proposal to be approved by City Council. The cost for the additional officers could be more than $2 million. For the full story, click here.
