A member of the First Transit team is being recognized as the Cengage Learning and Automotive Safety Excellence (ASE) Master Technician of the Year. Bryan Mitchell of Rochester, N.Y., earned the highest composite score on the ASE certification exams, the industry standard for automotive service professionals.

The Master Technician of the Year honors those who promote a culture of continuous service excellence within their companies.

“Bryan believes in doing everything to the best of his ability and is passionate about the customers he supports every day,” said Todd Hawkins, senior VP, maintenance for First Transit. “His efforts to further engage others in this core value have helped us build upon our industry-leading maintenance processes.”

Mitchell began his career with First Transit in 2016 as a maintenance technician. He currently serves as maintenance technician for three First Transit operations in the Rochester area. Mitchell is one of 50 technicians from across the U.S. that will be recognized at the ASE Board of Governors meeting in Concord, N.C., on November 16.
