New Passenger and Train Information System (PTIS) includes the ability to precisely locate each train and calculate minute-accurate train arrival times to LED signs at all stations.

MBTA equips rail fleet with defibrillators

To date, more than thirty Automated External Defibrillators have been installed on trains to protect passenger safety. The entire fleet will be equipped by the end of spring.

MBTA to use pay-by-phone service at select stations

Customers will be able to create an account using their mobile phone number and a credit/debit card, and have their parking fee automatically deducted from their account.
