Arlington Transit claims success in first year

City officials had initially hoped the Metro Arlington Xpress would provide an average of 250 trips per day each month. They’ve exceeded that goal every month this year, peaking in mid-June at more than 400 trips per day.

Arlington MAX Grand Opening

Metro ArlingtonXpress celebrated its grand opening August 19. The bus service brings public transportation to Arlington, which had been the nation's largest city without it. The two-year pilot project provides another transportation option for commuters, residents and students between downtown Arlington and the Trinity Railway Express, meaning fewer cars on the roadways and improved mobility.

Arlington, Texas launches first mass transit service

The new express bus service, Metro ArlingtonXpress will connect the Trinity Railway Express' CentrePort/DFW Airport Station with College Park at the University of Texas at Arlington in the downtown area.
