A fully autonomous, 15-passenger electric shuttle manufactured by French firm NAVYA will support research and provide self-guided tours of Mcity, the university's test site for connected and automated vehicles.

A fully autonomous, electric shuttle manufactured by French firm NAVYA will be introduced at Mcity, the University of Michigan’s one-of-a-kind test site for connected and automated vehicles. The vehicle will be used to provide tours of Mcity and to support autonomous vehicle research, initially through TechLab at Mcity, U-M’s incubator for mobility startups. This is the first use of the NAVYA ARMA in North America. The Navly, autonomous electric vehicle is manufactured by the French firm Navya and costs $225,000. The shuttle was created with the support of the city of Lyon, France, where it was tested.
