Pace Suburban Bus Service took delivery of eight new D4000 commuter coaches from Motor Coach Industries Inc. The new MCI D4000 cruisers are equipped with multiplex electrical systems, Detroit Diesel Series 60 engines and Allison B500 Transmissions. The wheelchair lift-equipped cruisers also feature forward facing, reclining seats for 49 passengers, overhead parcel racks, and individual reading lights and airflow controls. Pace plans to use the new models on two of its longest suburban routes in the Chicago area.
