iRail announced that the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) will use iRail's industry-specific procurement solution suite. iRail's procurement software automates the purchasing workflow from the initial inquiry stage till the issuance of a purchase order. SEPTA intends to use the software for purchases of "low value" goods, i.e. procurements under $25,000, which corresponds to roughly 95% of its total purchase orders. In addition to the procurement software, SEPTA will also gain full access to on-line services such as auctions, regulatory information, a bid center, classifieds, job postings, industry-specific content, and more, offered through the on-line marketplaces www.irail.com or www.iBusXchange.com iRail was selected on the basis of a public tender by SEPTA.
