State officials and the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) officially began construction on the $4.7 million expansion of the Access paratransit operating division. Improvements to the paratransit facility, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, will include covered parking for up to 80 Access vehicles, renovated maintenance area and improved accessibility. Access is a share-ride public transportation service, with a current ridership of more than 250,000 passengers per year. Construction of expansion project will be completed in Fall 2003.
