Detroit Diesel Corp. (DDC) announced the appointment of Carsten Reinhardt as CEO, effective April 1, 2003.
Reinhardt will join DDC from DaimlerChrysler's Freightliner LLC business unit, where he is currently general manager of the company's truck manufacturing plant in Portland, Ore.
Reinhardt, 35, joined DaimlerChrysler (then Daimler-Benz) in 1993 as a manufacturing engineer for Mercedes-Benz AG in Stuttgart, Germany.
