Digital Recorders Inc. announced that its TwinVision na, Inc. business unit received orders totaling more than $1.3 million on behalf of public transit fleets in Miami-Dade County, Fla., and Pittsburgh, Pa., for electronic destination signs. Alabama-based North American Bus Industries Inc. ordered more than $1.1 million in TwinVision amber all-LED electronic destination sign systems for the Miami-Dade County public transit fleet. California-based Gillig Corp. ordered more than $200,000 in destination sign systems for the Pittsburgh public transit fleet. Shipment of the signs for both fleets is scheduled for the first half of fiscal year 2003.
