In the next three years, North Carolina State University will be running a fleet of biodiesel buses. Connex, in cooperation with the university, will switch its 22 campus buses to biodiesel. Connex will use B-20 biodiesel, which consists of 20% biodiesel and 80% standard diesel. B-20 reduces emissions of carbon monoxide by 12.6%, sulfates by 20% and other air toxins by 20%.
