The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) awarded a contract to Parsons Brinckerhoff to provide consulting services for the development of the Mountain View Transportation Corridor in Utah. Services in the contract include preparation of an environmental impact statement (EIS) and all preliminary engineering. In addition to preparation of the EIS, the project includes traffic analysis, land use planning, alternative mode analysis, preliminary engineering and creation of a geographic information system database. Approximately 35 miles long, the corridor comprises western Salt Lake County south of I-80 and Utah County north of Utah Lake. The UDOT is undertaking the project in order to obtain a Record of Decision in 2006.
