North American Bus Industries Inc. (NABI) delivered its 5,000th transit bus to Foothill Transit in West Covina, Calif., last week. It was the 10th of Foothill's 75-bus order for CNG-powered, 40-foot low-floor buses. Foothill Transit operates 306 buses and is the second-largest transit agency in Southern California. NABI has been building transit buses since 1993 and has delivered more than 1,300 buses to California operators, 1,200 of which are alternative-fuel vehicles.
