Miami-Dade Transit will exercise options for an additional 115 Model 40-LFW transit buses manufactured by North American Bus Industries Inc. (NABI).

This is the eighth order of buses from a contract signed between NABI and Miami-Dade in June 2001.

The buses will be delivered in three phases — the first phase is in late 2005, and the remaining two phases will be delivered in 2006.

The buses will be outfitted with Cummins ISM alternative-fuel engines.
