FBI agents and police evacuated an Amtrak train in Richmond, Calif., this week after an angry passenger warned that the train was going to "fall into the sea.”

The man was taken into custody and his bags were X-rayed, according to the Associated Press. His packages were found to contain personal items and a laptop computer.

Described as Middle Eastern and in his mid-30s, the man was given a 72-hour psychiatric examination, authorities said.

Local businesses and homes were evacuated after an X-ray at first suggested that the computer might have been a bomb.
