SALT LAKE CITY — Utahns took to Twitter Tuesday during a scheduled chat to question the Utah Transit Authority’s (UTA) proposal to end its free-fare zone for buses in downtown Salt Lake City — despite 85 years remaining on a 100-year contract for the service.

UTA officials said the move is intended to improve safety and operations, as numerous criminal behavior incidents were related to people using the system, The Salt Lake Tribune reported. For the full story, click here.
