Beijing to introduce wearable smart cards

BEIJING -- Working with a local technology company, the Beijing Municipal Transportation Card Co., which issues the city's transit cards, will allow smart card technology to be incorporated into a wrist strap that can be connected wirelessly to mobile phones, reported the China Times.

In addition to public transit, the device's paying function will extend to supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, vending machines and restaurants. For the full story, click here.
