JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police say the driver of an SUV that rear-ended a Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) bus early Thursday morning has died, reported WJXT.

Police said nine passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries and were transported to hospitals. There were about 25 people on the bus when it was hit, police said. The bus driver was not hurt and administered CPR to the SUV driver until rescue personnel arrived.

Police say a passenger in the SUV left the scene and a search is going to find that man to see if he is hurt or why he left. Investigators were trying to determine if the driver was distracted when he hit the bus and if he was wearing a seat belt. For the full story, click here.
