To help curb the behavior, awareness posters are being put up in subway cars, buses and stations informing offenders that they can be thrown in jail for five years or be fined more than $82,000 for harassing another citizen.
The Peña Boulevard Station will be the sixth eastbound stop on the trip from Denver Union Station to the airport. The travel time from downtown to DIA will be 37 minutes with trains running every 15 minutes during peak times.
The LAX Board of Commissioners voted for a change Thursday, which would allow Uber and Lyft drivers to drop off and pick up passengers at a designed area on the airport’s upper departure level, paying the airport $4 each way.
City planners are offering developers huge savings — tens of thousands of dollars on large projects — by reducing the required number of parking spaces for some developments if bike racks, electric-car charging stations or other "green" amenities are offered instead.
NJ TRANSIT officials have said the increases, which were proposed in April, are needed to close a $60 million budget gap that remained even after the agency recently cut $40 million. The increases are the first since 2010 when fares increased an average of 22%.
The latest equipment purchase in a 33-year relationship, the $395 million order for clean diesel, cruiser-style coaches will offer NJ TRANSIT riders three-point seatbelts and comfortable forward-facing seating for 57 passengers.
The system already celebrated its millionth boarding passenger in May, ahead of projected ridership numbers. Since the launch of Sun Link streetcar, approximately 1.1 million passengers have enjoyed the ride.
The Orange County Transportation Authority Board of Directors agreed to a memorandum of understanding with the city of Santa Ana outlining the roles and responsibilities associated with the development, implementation, operations and maintenance of the project.
These findings are part of the Chaddick Institute’s Technology in Travel study, which includes more than 35,000 unique passenger observations since 2009. Passengers are counted once on a given trip. Each year, passengers are observed by trained data collectors to determine how they spend their time while traveling.

Trains would travel along tracks used for carrying freight stopping at up to seven possible stations, at a top speed of 79 mph. Instead of traveling back and forth up to eight times a day, there would be a morning train leaving in both directions, and an evening train taking passengers home, per revised plans.
The CityLYNX Gold Line is the first 1.5-mile segment of a 10-mile streetcar system. It travels from the Charlotte Transportation Center to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center with six stops.
