TransLoc, a transportation technology provider that delivers seamless mobility for all, announced today that it has hired Rahul Kumar to help grow the company and expand its impact. Kumar will draw from more than 16 years of experience in the mobility industry. His experience in business development, service and technology design, and operations management will support the growth of TransLoc’s municipal client base.

Most recently, Kumar worked in Paris serving as the sr. VP at Transdev working on innovations such as driverless vehicles and other disruptive transportation technology. He previously served as Transdev's VP of business development in North America where he helped the company close $4 billion in new or renewed revenue. He has also designed unique mobility solutions for a varied group of agencies including the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada; Broward County Transit in Florida; and Foothill Transit in Los Angeles.

Prior to his work at Transdev, Kumar served as senior manager at transportation management and design where he managed various bus and rail transportation projects across the U.S. Kumar also served as chairman of the board of Mobility as a Service Global (MaaS), a startup in Finland using digitally enabled solutions to revolutionize mobility.

TransLoc recently announced an expansion of its services through an innovative pilot program with the North Carolina Department of Transportation to integrate state-wide Amtrak train stations with public transit and Uber through its Rider app.
