Based on surveys of the major motorcoach manufacturers that sell vehicles in the U.S. and Canada, motorcoach sales from the participating manufacturers rose 4.6% in the third quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter in 2017, according to the American Bus Association Foundation’s third quarter 2018 Motorcoach Builder Survey.

While there was a dip in sales in the 30- to 45-foot motorcoach sales, 45-foot motorcoach sales saw another quarter of double-digit growth with 484 units sold; a 17.5% growth over the third quarter in 2017.

“These sales numbers show what our members have been saying over the past two years — that business is good,” says ABA Foundation President Peter Pantuso. “More people are traveling by motorcoach and the industry is responding by upgrading inventory and adding more amenities that passengers now come to expect when they step on a motorcoach.”
