This system will allow for the seamless planning of trips using public transportation in the Triangle region. Riders will have a real-time view of buses in route on a detailed online map.

TTC considering random employee drug and alcohol testing

Revisiting a staff proposal from 2008 to amend its existing fitness for duty policy to include random alcohol and drug testing. Currently, the agency’s fitness for duty policy, which was fully implemented in October 2010, allows for alcohol and drug testing of those in safety-sensitive positions, specified management positions and designated executive positions.

TriMet launches multi-modal trip planner

Combines transit, biking and walking in one itinerary, making it easier for customers to plan their trips, and reduces travel time compared with single-mode trip planners. Customers can also plan their trips according to their preference for safest route, quickest route or flattest elevation.

Metrolink, L.A. Metro win NARP award
