PARIS — Paris is instituting a number of new measures to fight sexual harassment on its public transportation system, including enabling riders to be dropped off wherever they like on 10 city bus lines, the New York Daily News reports.
The switch will allow passengers to be dropped off closer to their homes and is available for both men and women.
Additionally, the city is hiring 650 additional safety monitors to ride different forms of public transportation in plain clothes and installing video surveillance equipment on all buses and trains by 2020. For the full story, click here.
