STV|DPM, part of STV, completed the physical relocation of the North East Transportation Company Inc. (NET).

Through a management contract with Connecticut Department of Transportation, NET provides public bus transit services in the greater Waterbury, Meriden, and Wallingford areas. The company operates a fleet of 84 vehicles and employs 155 people. NET was established in 1925 and had operated from a converted brass manufacturing facility located in Waterbury for more than 36 years.

The newly-constructed, state-of-the-art facility was once home to a drive-in theater, and now features covered employee parking on the  lower level,  a main level that provides inside vehicle storage and maintenance, and a second level with offices and work areas for the administrative staff.

NET’s most important objective was a smooth and disruption-free relocation of its 21-hour operation. Services provided by STV|DPM entailed the development of a detailed, multi-phased move schedule that included the relocation of employees, as well as the moving and rigging of equipment, write up of mover/rigging RFP, assistance with the management in the selection of the mover/rigger, management and approval of invoices, and on-site supervision for all move related activities.
