Stacy Tetschner, President/CEO of the United Motorcoach Association, reached out to member companies located in flooded communities of the upper Midwest. Unusually snowy winter months that yielded to heavy rains have led the governors of South Dakota, Nebraska, and Wisconsin to declare emergencies and Iowa’s Governor to issue a disaster proclamation. Individuals and businesses in hundreds of communities are affected.

In an email communication to operators in affected areas, Tetschner wrote, “On behalf of the members, staff, and Board of Directors of the United Motorcoach Association, I want to share our prayers and concern regarding the flooding in your area. At the very least, we know this type of tragedy creates disruption to business and can only escalate in worse scenarios.”

“We all take pride in the bus and motorcoach community being widely known as first responders in helping move people out of harm's way. We also want to be the first to offer help to our own in their time of need. Whether you need help to fulfill a contract you cannot get to, or if you are looking for aid and supplies for yourselves, your staff, or family, we stand ready to help,” he said.

In closing, Tetschner urged impacted operators to reach out to him via email or by phone at 800-424-8262.
