Transdev was awarded the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority’s (LAVTA) project management and operations contract for a shared autonomous vehicle (SAV) pilot.

The autonomous vehicle shuttle pilot is the cornerstone of LAVTA’s mobility lab in nearby Dublin, Calif. The pilot deployment will provide first-, and last-mile solutions in a geo-fenced area improving mobility for riders living or working outside walking distance of Bay Area Rapid Transit and LAVTA Bus Lines.

Transdev will partner with LAVTA and will oversee and manage the AV shuttle pilot for the testing phase, and once successful, for the first phase of actual operations.

As part of the contract, Transdev will continue to work with EasyMile, with whom the company has an established, strong relationship. EasyMile is the manufacturer of LAVTA’s current Shared Autonomous Vehicle, making this a seamless transition for Transdev.
