The Metro Regional Transit Authority (Metro RTA) of Akron, Ohio awarded Clean Energy Fuels Corp. a five-year contract to operate and maintain the fueling station for Metro’s fleet of 45 full-sized compressed natural gas buses.

Metro RTA is Clean Energy’s first customer in Ohio and averages six million transit passenger trips a year on more than 30 routes throughout the county.
