[IMAGE]LFX.jpg[/IMAGE] Nova Bus unveiled the LFX, its new bus designed for rapid transit applications, at the 2008 APTA Expo.

The LFX is designed with a durable stainless steel structure and distinctive exterior look and shares the same platform as the Nova LFS line of vehicles. In addition to its sleek exterior, the LFX integrates a number of innovations, which focus on high productivity, low life cycle cost and passenger comfort.

Nova also is showcasing its ITS4mobility solution, which is an intelligent transport solution that uses an on-board system built directly into its vehicles to communicate real-time travel information to passengers, operators and drivers.

The company also announced the appointment of Jim Tooley as plant manager of its Plattsburgh, New York plant.

All Nova Bus products and services are available to the American public transit market, with deliveries from the American plant scheduled for the second half of 2009.
