BOULDER, Colo. — University of Colorado (CU) Chancellor Phil DiStefano said that he would eventually like Boulder's main campus to be closed to cars, Daily Camera reported. The Chancellor also he envisions off-campus parking and a shuttle system. Pedestrian safety is one factor driving the plan. Additionally, 22 percent of students currently drive alone to school and 50 percent of faculty and staff members do so, according to figures from CU's Environmental Center.
