Police strike hits SEPTA

PHILADELPHIA — Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) officials said supervisors, private security and police officers will help assure safety on the system's subways, trains, buses and trolleys following the walkout called by the Fraternal Order of Transit Police, according to AP.

SEPTA reportedly was only given 20 minutes' notice of the planned walkout, which was spurred by the inability to come to an agreement over pensions. For the full story, click here.
