MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee transportation provider Transit Express may have to lay off 100 employees in October, if it is not awarded a Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) contract, according to the Milwaukee Business News.

Transit Express provides approximately 60% of MCTS’ paratransit services, with First Transit providing the rest. In total, four providers submitted proposals for a new contract that will begin in November. For the full story, click here.
