ATLANTA — Despite the failure of the regional T-SPLOST referendum over the summer, mass transit projects are springing up across the city of Atlanta, including a new streetcar and planned rail component of the Beltline, reported The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Although MARTA riders have endured cutbacks and fare hikes, city officials claim this does not dim the prospects for other transit projects.
