MEMPHIS — The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) plans to develop bus rapid transit lines along certain routes beginning in 2013 in hopes of attracting more commuters, reports The Commercial Appeal.

MATA has awarded a $949,178 contract to Temple Inc., to provide the equipment to be added to buses and traffic signals. The total cost of the project has not yet been determined. To read the full story, click here.
