BOSTON — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is considering canceling its $190 million contract for 75 commuter railcars from Hyundai Rotem Corp. due to what it describes as long production delays and shoddy workmanship, according to Philly.com.

The complaints are similar to those raised over the years by Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, which is still waiting for delivery of the final three of 120 Silverliner V cars ordered in 2006. For the full story, click here.
