IRVING, Texas — Authorities told the AP that a chartered bus from Cardinal Coach Line overturned on a highway near Dallas, killing at least two people and injuring several others.

UPDATE: The National Transportation Safety Board sent two investigators from its Texas regional office to gather information regarding this morning’s deadly bus crash in Irving, Texas.

Improving the safety of bus operation has been on the NTSB’s Most Wanted List since November 2012. The agency continues to emphasize the need for improvements in operator safety standards, occupant protection and regulatory oversight.
