NEW YORK — Darius McCollum, 48, who first took a subway train for a joyride when he was 15, was sentenced to five years in prison for stealing a Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) bus, according to the Daily News.

Jailed since his 2010 arrest, McCollum faced 15 years but will now be almost immediately eligible for parole. Over the years, McCollum has been caught impersonating a transit worker, sneaking into a subway control tower and trying to steal a Long Island Rail Road locomotive. For the full story, click here.
