SAN JOSE, Calif. — Nuria Fernandez, a longtime executive at transportation agencies in New York, Washington, D.C. and Chicago, will be named GM of the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, according to a San Jose Mercury News report.

Fernandez, who spent the past two years as chief operating officer of New York state's Metropolitan Transportation Authority, will succeed Michael Burns, who is retiring. For the full story, click here.
