Bombardier Transportation has been awarded a $90 million contract by U.K.-based HSBC Rail, for the refurbishment of 302 passenger coaches. The coaches, to be used by British train operator Great North Eastern Railway, are scheduled for delivery between 2002 and 2005. Refurbishment of the Mark IV coaches, including corrosion repair, repainting and complete interior refit, will take place at Bombardier Transportation's facility, located in Wakefield, Britain.
