A power failure shut down Switzerland's entire rail network Wednesday, stranding thousands of tourists and commuters. A spokesperson for SBB, the state-owned railway company, said the cause of the failure remained unclear, but that they had yet to rule out sabotage or the unusually warm weather. The 5:45pm power failure, which lasted just over two hours before the first trains began to run again, is thought to be the first of its kind for the famously punctual rail system.
