In addition to the crash site, six other track circuits on four of Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority's (Metro) five lines have failed to detect the presence of trains, according to records. Transit agency officials do not know what is causing the "anomalies," but said the problems are no where near the magnitude of the track circuit issues at the crash site.
