New York-based Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corp. (PATH) awarded Ansaldo STS, through its subsidiary,  Ansaldo STS USA,a contract in the amount of $24.7 million to supply a Train Control Center system.

Ansaldo STS USA will centralize PATH's communication network into one, fully integrated system, which includes Centralized Traffic Control (CTC), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Closed-Circuit Televisions and integrated voice communications.

The CTC system is based on Ansaldo STS USA's Hermes platform, an office control solution that features advanced routing algorithms, integration with security systems, passenger information systems, voice telecommunication and enterprise management systems.
