TRANSTU, the Tunis transit authority, awarded Alstom a contract valued at approximately $74 million to supply 16 additional Citadis tramsets.

The new tramsets will help meet the growing passenger needs arising from extension of two lines. The 16 additional trams will be identical to the 39 Citadis tramsets that Alstom delivered to TRANSTU between 2007 and 2009.

Alstom will also provide maintenance service for the entire fleet of 55 Citadis tramsets over a five-year period.
