WASHINGTON, D.C. — Cities ranging from Dallas to Seattle to Washington, D.C. are looking to light rail as part of their future and a way to reshape their development, National Public Radio reports.

There are currently 35 light rail systems operating in the U.S., and at least 13 metropolitan areas are building others. Many more are in the planning stages. For the full story, click here.
