SAN FRANCISCO — The board of directors of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system in a 5-4 vote behind closed doors Thursday, requested that BART GM Dorothy Dugger resign, then rescinded that request because of legal concerns, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. "She is still the general manager, with all the authority of the general manager," said BART spokesman Linton Johnson.
