SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA, Spain — Adif, Spain’s rail infrastructure company, told AFP that it improved speed signs across its network in response to the train derailment in July that killed 79 people.  

The company identified 80 "transition points" on its network where trains are required to significantly decelerate and installed signs at these locations to remind drivers to slow down. For the full story, click here.
