SANTA CLARITA, Calif. — More than 500 students from Golden Valley High School hopped on a chartered Metrolink train to travel to their prom, the Santa Clarita Valley Signal reported.

The students took the train from Santa Clarita to Los Angeles and then transferred to L.A. Metro's Red Line to the final destination of their venue, Madame Tussauds Hollywood, the report said.

The school first used Metrolink to go to the prom two years ago, instead of traditional school buses or chartered buses, as a way to save money, the Santa Clarita Valley Signal reported. For the full story, click here.
