BURLINGTON, Vt. — Charlie Moore, a railroad executive with more than 40 years of experience in the industry, has been named president of AllEarth Rail LLC, a company working to bring commuter rail service to Vermont, reported Vermont Business Magazine.

Moore previously worked as the VP of Business Development at RailComm, a global rail automation systems and software firm for the freight, transit and industrial markets.

Earlier this year, the AllEarth Rail purchased vintage railcars and equipment from Dallas Area Rapid Transit for the service. The commuter line is still in the planning stages, but the concept is to provide commuter rail in the northwestern part of the state initially, according to Vermont Business Magazine.
