Hyperloop One unveiled an original concept for autonomous transportation in the UAE, including designs for the world’s first Hyperloop One Portals (the equivalent of a station or airport) and Hyperloop One Pods that can take passengers from Dubai to Abu Dhabi in 12 minutes, compared to a two-hour drive.

The Moscow Metro opened in 1935 with one 6.8-mile line and 13 stations. The subway, the first underground railway in the Soviet Union, celebrated its 80th anniversary in May 2015. The system consists of twelve lines and 196 stations, with an average daily ridership of 6.7 million riders (2013).

The Dubai tramway is the first tram in the world able to run in temperatures of up to 50 °C (122 °F) and to withstand harsh climate conditions. Equipped with Alstom's APS ground-level power supply, the system is also the first in the world to be catenary-free all along the line, enabling perfect integration of the tramway into the cityscape.
